So, my beloved plaid fedora is no more.

This happened yesterday on Talk Like A Pirate Day:

Something fishy’s going on…

Behind the Scenes

On September 19, 2012, Talk Like A Pirate Day, Cowhead the Pirate took over Indy Christian Review.

Cowhead the Pirate takes over Zack Lawrence’s show Indy Christian Review.  After doing a review of his own, Zack breaks free and tries to fight off the invader.  During the battle, Zack’s fedora is shot… and suddenly regenerates into a new hat!

I love Doctor Who.  Definitely my favorite sci-fi after Star Wars.  For those that don’t know, the main character of Doctor Who is an alien time traveler called The Doctor (I’ve got my own version of him that appears in my videos on occasion).  As a Time Lord, the Doctor has the ability to regenerate when he’s dying, gaining a completely new body and personality, though it’s still the same character with the same memories.  In this episode of Indy Christian Review, my hat does the same thing after Cowhead shoots it.  If you didn’t know I was a geek, this should make it quite apparent to you!

When I was working on the schedule for this season of ICR, putting a show with time travel on Talk Like A Pirate Day set this whole crazy scheme in motion.  With this video, The Battle for the Hat has officially begun.

Also significant about this video is that we finally have our first glimpse of the Mysterious Enemy.  Who is he?  Patience, all will be revealed in time.

September 20, Zack informs his assistant, Mr. Researcher, about what happened to the hat.  The two begin to wonder if there’s a connection between Cowhead’s take over and the Mustard Monk’s attack.  Meanwhile, the Mysterious Enemy recruits yet another agent… this time with Uncle Bob in the crosshairs.

This was a spur-of-the-moment video to help explain things to anyone confused by the Indy Christian Review episode, and also to let viewers of the Zack Lawrence Show YouTube channel know what’s going on.  The video that Mr. Researcher is editing is a music video that will be going up on the channel on September 21st.

Despite the visual difference from the Chronicles episode, the cloaked figure is indeed the Mysterious Enemy.  He is able to alter his appearance somewhat, the reason for which will be explained at a future date.  The assassin he’s employing is someone with a very long history with Uncle Bob.
