35mm Canon EF Lens

I currently only have a stock zoom lens and an off-brand 50mm lens for my Canon T7. Because of the camera sensor's crop factor, my 50mm lens actually gives me a closer, 80mm field of view. This 35mm Canon EF lens would give my camera an adjusted focal length of 56mm, which is much closer to what I want! I've heard that my favorite director, Alfred Hitchcock, preferred to use 50mm lenses to better replicate the natural field of view of the human eye to immerse his audience. This lens would equip me to better emulate the master filmmaker in my own work.
