It’s been a couple months longer than expected, but Ragged Edge is finally complete! I’ve started sending it out to film festivals, so we’ll see how it does. DVDs will be going on sale February 21st. You can become a fan of Standing Sun on Facebook to be the first to know the moment it’s available!
Thank you for all your prayers! I’m excited to see where the Lord will take this.
On the 18th, I started a new website called IndyChristianReview.com. It’s a site for reviews of independent Christian films. Why only indy Christian films? Well, there’s plenty of other Christian review sites like PluggedIn.com and Dove.org that review the latest Hollywood releases, but the area of the independent films seems sorely lacking in this area. So I’ve taken it upon myself to remedy that problem. I’ve got three reviews posted so far, which you can check out by going to www.IndyChristianReview.com. There’s also a Facebook page you can like, and a Twitter you can follow. Please share the site, Facebook and Twitter with your friends, family and anyone else interested in supporting Christian films!
And if any of you filmmakers would like us to review your film and give you some free publicity, head on over to the Submit a Film page and follow the instructions there. I’m also looking for some people to help me write reviews. If you’re interested, shoot me an email.
I got my DVD copy of The Door Backwards today! See my thoughts in the video below.
You can buy the DVD at http://kunaki.com/Sales.asp?PID=PX00ZMJEO4 and be sure to check out more from Morning Star Productions at http://www.morningstarproductions.net!
Watching the behind the scenes and outtakes really took me back to that sweltering Texas July. (Yes, I will whine and complain about that for the rest of my life!… or at least until I experience something worse. 😉 ) The good times we had, the fun (and stresses!) of shooting, that one shot that took twenty takes for me to finally get down that ended up being cut in such a way that all those takes didn’t matter… yeah…
Anyway, I’m so excited to finally see the finished project and I can’t wait until the next time I get to work with such talented people.
In this vlog, I talk about my latest DVD purchase and anticipate another package.
